It was a beautiful day, so we decided to take a walk on Erika’s favorite beach with some of our friends. You’ll notice that we have a dog! He is not ours, but we are house sitting. He’s a shiba-inu and is quite ornery, but very cute so we like watching him.
As we walked the beach, I tried to get a couple shots of the coral features. Okinawa is basically all coral, and sometimes the water will hollow in through a crack and make these crazy cave features. There’s one here I walked through, plus you can see all the coral growing out of the water as it gets covered in moss. Which actually makes for a hazardous walk, since the moss is slippery but the coral is razor sharp!
The doggo is so cute! Here’s some shots of the water as well. You can see the tide was very low so you could walk out there, but you definitely want to be in booties or some sort of foot protection, as the coral, again, is super slippery and razor sharp! Plus all the creatures that live in the ocean (like rock fish) that will attempt to eat you if you give them the chance, haha. But it’s pretty to look at!
Here’s a close up of some of the moss. It looks kind of like a little forest, which I guess it is really. I’m mostly just playing around with my f1.2 lens here, haha. It’s got a great “look”!

That’s all, thanks for taking a look!
